2020年係Thomas 張家榮嘅結婚40週年,育有兩個女兒, 一孫女及孫仔。
2020年3月, 我(張國強) 與他重新聯絡(相隔了47年)。 佢往後講咗好多佢既經歷 (但從無提及佢有任何病況)。
回想: 張家榮將全力專注於工作及家庭, 絕少接觸舊同學。
1981年4月3日張家榮當時二十七歲, 全力開放7-11企業, 以跑馬地分店為第一試點。
佢憶述: 當時好難招聘員工, 佢自己及太太要打理業務, 同埋整理價錢等 (*)。 開幕當日有嘉賓祝佢早日完結!
2020.7.31與張家榮最後通話, 完了。
張家榮於2020年8月 10日因血癌離世。

Looking back I did it, of course, must have a good team of people to support and execute.
That’s a summary of my career.
I was promoted CEO in 1987. After 7 years moved on the group level to do different high level jobs like China and Asia development for the group company. Eventually got back to run 7-Eleven until retirement in 2010, with over 990 stores in HK, 40 stores in Macau and 400 stores in Guangdong.
After retirement from 7-Eleven, I have engaged in a convenience store project in Vietnam, with the Circle K brand from US, which is of different ownership from the one in Hong Kong. I provide strategic direction and guidance to the business and I only travel. I have put in a team to base in Vietnam to run the business. After 8 years I involved, today we have close to 400 stores.
I graduated from HKU. Then joined Jardines in 1976. First four years in Marketing Department. Then involved in 7-Eleven startup in HK as Operations Manager. In 1981, I opened the first 7-Eleven store at tram terminal, Happy Valley.
